Come to a unknown town in Maine, John...

[If there was one thing that Gold understood exceptionally well, it was deals. His typically chosen weapons after all were little things, the needle, the pen, the fine print within a contract or fine points of a deal. He was also a man of his word, if he promised a result, he delivered. If he couldn't deliver, well then, he wouldn't make the deal or he'd refund the price given to him.

It should come to no surprise to people then that he had one hell of an information network, and not just within Storybrooke. No, he had fingers in a number of places throughout the state and on down the country. After all, how was he going to be capable of continuing his most notable ability of finding things both rare and usually hard to find, if he didn't have his finger on the pulse of things so to speak?

Even in this world, when most people came to him, they came with a deal in mind.]

[It was fortunately a quiet day in town. John might notice that despite it being technically mid-winter in the rest of the world, the town felt and looked as if it were permanently caught in the grip of a late autumn. Not many people saw the man for the oddity he truly was, those who would know him for that were busy in their own various ways.

The fact that John happened to pick a shop holding one of those few people was pure chance...or was it?

Hearing the bell ring upon the other man's entry, Gold looked up from the piece he had been polishing. He noted the grin silently as well as the fact he was a stranger and was here while the curse was still active, definite red flags all three. He observed him for a silent second more before he finally spoke up keeping his tone casual as if actually having an actual customer within his shop wasn't an unusual occurrence for him.]

May I help you with something?
