• John is played with bits off comic traits from him. Namely language and details regarding his family life. The show touched on it, but comics are used to flesh it out.
• John will NOT be canon updated to Legends of Tomorrow. Thus, any future character development is going to be based on the comics.
• John has substance abuse as a natural part of his character (smoking, alcohol, previous drug use).

CAN JOHN USE MAGIC AROUND/ON YOUR CHARACTER?: I would be really sad if he didn't use it on/around her. (Yes.)
WHAT MAGIC DOES NOT NATURALLY WORK ON YOUR CHARACTER? Not..hing??? She would probably sense most basic things, but she's such a baby witch it's not even funny, so HONESTLY it wouldn't be that hard to use anything on her.
WHAT SUBJECTS ARE A HARD "NO" FOR YOUR CHARACTER/YOU? Not really anything when it comes to John — I'm way too used to his comics and how the material uses the various topics, so anything that would be a no for me in a non-Hellblazer context really doesn't bug me with John.
